because i am still very much held a prisoner to past beliefs and practice, i dress in suit and tie and bring a briefcase on my frequent dates.. i talk business during the entire happy meal (macdonalds), displaying ad brochures and spreadsheets relative to whatever business plan i happen to be hawking that day.

i count the venture as a business expense and jws who frequent this fine diner know i am not on a date.

there are no smirks, no snickering, no knowing glances.

while searching for another topic, i came across an old thread of mine on cultural diversity and our "imminent" ushering into paradise.

i was surprised to see a photo of steven lett (posted four years ago).

I Googled "Joel Elliot" and, of course, there are many of that namesake. I wish I had copied his info, but he specifically asked that his work not be copied. Nine years ago I was, in today's hindsight, not prescient . . .

Aren't you a bit amazed that the WTS/JWS is still around ?

i know i am, to me its a bit of a peculiar anomaly that the wts is still around and functioning in reflection of its decades and now complete century that the wts has been bullshitting to people .

organizations like the church of god have shrunk dramatically from its heyday of the 1980's, this too was another organization that spread and grew by publishing its own magazine proclaiming a armageddon soon doctrine and its main publication was called " the truth " .

i'm guessing some of this has to do with the fact that people who get lured into this cult aren't aware of its past, its doctrines, the people who started it and so forth.

Urban myth or not, it has been written somewhere (The Freeminds Journal, by Randall Watters, I think) that Fred Franz read TPT magazine. If I can find the reference, I'll post it.
